BAINBRIDGE Its been a good couple of days for the Bainbridge-Guilford boys varsity basketball team, as they race down the final stretch of the regular season with two consecutive victories.

On Friday, Feb. 3, the Bobcats took on fellow Chenango County rival Oxford in a tantalizing matchup. After an enthralling contest from start to finish, B-G just eked out a win, on a scoreline of 47-44.

Going into the fourth quarter down by a mere two points, a strong offensive surge to the end of regulation powered the Bobcats to victory, as they outscored their opponents 16-11 in the fourth to edge out a three-point win.

Early on in the game the Bobcat offense struggled to find rhythm, and quickly fell down 13-8 after the first quarter. They managed to improve and keep the encounter close in the second, with both teams scoring 12 apiece.
