Tornado throwers continue to impress with Bearcats

BINGHAMTON – Two recent graduates of Norwich High School have been continuing their stellar athletic careers at their new home, Binghamton University.



David Bernstein, a class of 2016 Norwich graduate, and Brooke Bonney, a 2014 Tornado grad, have been showcasing their throwing talents with the Bearcats this year.

In their first meet of the new year, Binghamton had 10 individual winners at the Southern Tier Collegiate Indoor Track Open, which was held in Ithaca last Saturday, Jan. 7. In that meet, Bernstein finished in second place in the weight throw competition, with an impressive heave of 55 feet, 3 inches. Bonney also achieved a second place finish in the weight throw, recording a throw of 56 feet, 9 and a half inches.
