Robbery defendant facing 25 years changes plea; sentenced to four years in state prison

NORWICH The man accused of hog-tying, beating with what appeared to be a pistol, threatening to kill, and stealing property of a victim opted to change his plea to guilty to a lesser charge and will serve time in state prison.



Gregory F. Huzinec Jr., of Norwich, was the suspect believed to be involved in the Thursday, July 7, 2016 armed robbery on Lackawanna Avenue in the City of Norwich.

It was alleged that Huzinec did forcibly steal $60 in US currency, a cell phone, a driver's license, a medicare card and cigarettes from the victim while displaying what appeared to be a pistol and threatening to kill the victim.
