ONEIDA – The swimming team at Sherburne-Earlville traveled north to take on the Oneida Indians in a showdown that proved to go in favor of Oneida due to seven straight first place finishes.

Following the 85-75 loss for S-E they have now slid to an overall record of 1-5 on the year. However, despite the unfortunate outcome of this most recent meet on Dec. 13, the Marauders did grab three first place wins and six second place finishes.

Oneida defeats Sherburne-Earlville:

• 200 Medley Relay: Oneida's relay – Fisher, DiLego, Hicks, and Hicks – grabbed the win with a time of 2:04.08, S-E's relay – Ryan, Larchar, McDaniel, and Rinaldo – took home second with a time of 2:09.88.

• 200 Freestyle: Oneida's Aidan Hicks snagged the second win to start the meet with a time of 2:17.09, Oneida would take home second place as well.

• 200 Individual Medley: Oneida's Kyle Fisher won the event with a time of 2:25.34, while once again S-E followed by Caleb Larchar of S-E with his second place time of 2:40.47.
