BINGHAMTON – The Chenango Hellcats Legion team would see their short-lived three game winning streak skid to an abrupt halt following their trip to Chenango Valley high school, where they would suffer a loss at the hands of Post 1194 Hillcrest at 10-0, on July 6.

The Hellcats were hot of a three game stretch where they were looking to turn their season around, however, Hillcrest qualifies as a league game and will now start them out onto a tough schedule looking forward, as The Hellcats will play a game –weather permitting – four times in the next eight days. Notably of those four remaining games on the schedule, three are scheduled as league games, and winning is a must if a post season berth is to happen in the 2016 summer season.

Hellcats head coach was unavailable for comment following the 10-0 loss to Hillcrest.

Hillcrest would allow no breathing room for The Hellcats, as they would successfully score seven runs in just the first inning.

Errors would not contribute a tremendous amount to the outcome of the contest, as to much surprise, The Hellcats would only commit one error compared to Hillcrest's two on the day.

The inter-league game would only last a short five innings, as the second inning would prove to be another tremendous landslide in favor of Hillcrest, as they sent an additional three runners in for a 10-0 lead heading into the third.
