OXFORD – Martin A. Logsdon Jr., 26, of Norwich, was arrested by the village of Oxford Police Department on June 10. Logsdon was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, also a class A misdemeanor.
The arrest followed an investigation by Officer Steve Rounds into a complaint reported in the village of Oxford, resulting in the discovery of 19 bags of heroin, 32 separate glassine envelopes, and a hypodermic needle. The vehicle that Logsdon was a passenger in was stopped due to the subject allegedly becoming involved in an altercation with an older female in the vehicle, an instance reported by a complainant. Logsdon was arraigned before the village Court and remained to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $5,000 property bond. Additional charges are pending upon further investigation.
