SIDNEY – The Bainbridge-Guilford varsity softball team took on the Sidney Warriors on May 19, in the first round of the Class C Section IV tournament, coming up short with a 3-2 loss.

All tied up at 2-2 heading into the seventh inning, BG could not not keep the Warriors off the bases to take the game to extra innings, ultimately surrendering a sacrifice RBI run to Sidney for the 3-2 victory.

Despite the ultimate loss, it was BG who found themselves on the board first, taking the 1-0 lead in the first inning when Megan Palmatier doubled to center field sending Alli Miller home.

Following the early lead, The Bobcats would exchange one run innings for a total of four different lead changes in the contest.
