Seen are many children who participated in this past Saturday’s, April 30, Healthy Kids Day at the Norwich YMCA. The event ran on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and featured many activities for the children of the community to participate in such as: Bubble Fun, Family Zumba, a D.J., Inflatable Maze and Slide, Obstacle Course. The Zoomobile from Ross Park Zoo even made an appearance as well as the Norwich Fire Department. There were also many tables set up from various organizations from around the community such as Rogers Environmental Education Center and The Chenango County Sheriff's Office, who are pictured, to help encourage and educate the children. The theme of 'Zoe for President' that the Norwich YMCA put in place, is to help motivate and support our youth, stating that someday down the line a child now, will be president of the United States. The Norwich YMCA hopes to nurture these children and help support them in life through early learning readiness and after school programs, in order for them to reach their full potential in life.
