GREENE – Coming off a tightly contested game where the lady Trojans earned a late 3-2 win over Unatego. Greene saw some stiff competition come from Bainbridge-Guilford when they traveled there to ultimately lose their first game of the season 8-7.

Coach Rick Condon took full responsibility for the loss to BG saying, “Alex Thompson was gassed she was giving it 110 percent and I left her in, I should have put in a fresh arm. That loss is on me, that mistake was all me.”

Thompsons pitching at the mound for Greene saw them only behind one point heading into the final inning of play in the seventh. However, this inning proved deadly when BG strung together a four run inning to come from behind and upset the previously undefeated Trojans.

BG pitcher Riley Smith threw nine strikeouts at the mound as she led the Bobcats to the 8-7 win.

While Maddie Brink gave her all at the plate going 4-4 with a run and four RBI's.
