AFTON – Members of the New York State Police Troop C out of Sidney arrested one individual in the morning hours, around 9 a.m., on Saturday, April 16.

Bryon O. Hoblin, 28, of Afton, was charged with assault in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

The New York State Troopers responded to a 911 call regarding an incident involving a father and son who were in a physical dispute on Algerine Street in the Town of Afton.

An investigation was performed by the responding officers and it determined that Hoblin allegedly had punched his father in the face and knocked him out.
