Authorities: Man Had Meth & Materials To Make Meth In His Vehicle

EARLVILLE – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested one individual on Feb. 19, 2016 after an investigation led to the discovery of methamphetamine.

Jason L. Wheeler, a New York State parolee, was stopped by Deputy O’Hara along with K9 Jeroen of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office while both were working a drug interdiction detail in the area.

According to authorities, the original stop of the vehicle was conducted due to Wheeler talking on his cell phone.

However, after the initial stop, an investigation of the vehicle revealed several items used to manufacture methamphetamine as well as the finished product of methamphetamine.
