DELHI Ė Despite letting a sizeable lead slip away in the fourth quarter, the Unadilla Valley menís basketball team hung on to save the victory against tough opponents Delhi, 51-49, last night, Feb. 11.
With 30 seconds left to play, the game reached a climax. Brett Hanslmaier was fouled and consequently made both of his free throw attempts to put the Storm up by three points. Delhi let the clock dwindle down until there was only 2.4 seconds left in the game before UV intentionally fouled Nate Craft. Craft made his first free-throw attempt and intentionally missed his second, but Ethan Grey was on hand for UV to grab the all-important rebound and seal the win.
