WINDSOR – Monday, Feb. 8, saw the lady Trojans travel south to visit the Windsor Black Knights in a non-league match up. Greene would overcome the Black Knights early and cruise to a 37-25 victory, as they head into consolation play this coming Wednesday against Sidney.

“We were very good tonight, we rebounded great and defended well,” said Greene head coach Dave Gorton.

The game would see Emma Smith of Greene jump out early on in the first quarter to score 7-points.

Riding on Smith’s early seven, Greene would start the game hot outscoring the Black Knights 13-2 in just the first quarter.

“We played a lot of kids for a lot of minutes, and it was a nice team effort,” said Gorton.

By the halftime break Greene saw itself up 24-10, Gorton explained that the girls did not let up throughout the game despite the score.
