The Fix Is In For Trump

Donald Trump’s battles with Fox News and other networks: Two things to remember.

1. The fix is in.

2. The fix is always in.

First, who do you suppose writes the questions Fox’s Megyn Kelly asks at the political debates? Questions like the poisonous ones aimed at Trump?

Who do you suppose directs the Fox moderators? Who preps them? Who tells them how Fox wants the debates to be conducted?

It is a guy whose daughter happens to work for Marco Rubio’s campaign. In a big position. She has worked for Marco for years.

Well, gollee, isn’t that a huuuuge co-incidence? I mean, what are the chances, huh? The father of one of Marco’s top dogs? He writes questions designed to skewer Marco’s enemies before millions of viewers? He writes softball questions for Marco? Who woulda guessed? And Fox never divulged this blatant conflict of interest? Must be an oversight, eh?

Chris Cuomo is a big-time news guy. He anchored programs that influence politics for sure. Like ABC’s 20/20. And the news on Good Morning America. And CNN’s Morning Show. He moderated CNN’s Iowa Town Hall for Hillary and Bernie.

His brother is governor of our state. His dad was governor. Both are heavies in the Democrat Party. And there is Chris, greasing the skids for Hill as a moderator. Golleeeee, what a huge coincidence.

And there is George Stephanopoulos. Big time political guy at ABC. Moderated one of Hill’s debates. Donated 75 grand to the Clinton Foundation. Worked in the Clinton campaign big time. Rewarded with top White House jobs.

Gollee, what a coincidence that George went from the White House to a network. What a coincidence he got to moderate one of Hillary’s debates. And a Republican debate. Who woulda thunk?

Oh, I’m sure he would never have any bias toward one side. Never!

Battalions of political guys move from political machines to news media. Armies of news guys move from media to political machines. Big revolving door.

Next, if you checked who is married to whom or related to whom you would be dumbfounded. Big politicians have daughters and sons-in-law in big media. And brothers and sisters within big media. The media that cover them. And big media guys have relatives scattered throughout the political machines.

And, of course, it is all a big co-incidence. The odds that these connections would occur are astronomical. And yet they do occur. They occur because they are meant to occur.

They occur because media and political guys are all sludged together in the same Washington establishment.

They occur because media are happy to kiss the butt of big pols. So they hire guys like George S. and Chris Cuomo.

They occur because politicians want favors from big media. And special treatment.

In other words, the fix is in. It has been in for decades.

This is why Trump is up to his backside in media alligators. He threatens their cozy relationships. He exposes them.

Guys in the media tell us Trump challenges the political establishment. He certainly does. But they omit something. They don’t tell you that they are at the very heart of that establishment. Sludge Central.

A lot of the guys who shape the news and debates you get are biased as hell. Let me re-phrase that. They are as biased as cogs in political machines. Because that is what they are.
