Oxford bowling teams take home titles at annual Holiday Tournament

NORWICH – The annual Holiday Tournament was held recently at Family Recreation Lanes in Norwich, and the Oxford bowlers took home both team titles.

Among the boys’ teams, Oxford took first place, with Sidney in second and Greene in third.

Ben Crandall of Oxford took first in the high handicap series, and Corey Turner, also of Oxford, was in second.

Phil Smith placed third in the high scratch series, and Gavin Wheatley placed third in the high handicap game. Both boys are on the Oxford team.

Ben Crandall also had the most pins over average.

The Oxford girls took first place in the tournament, with Bainbridge-Guilford in second and Sidney in third.

Oxford’s Emily Howard took first in the high scratch series while Savannah Beach, also of Oxford, was first in the high handicap series.

Stevie Estelow made second place for the high handicap game.

The most pins over average were by Oxford’s Savannah Beach.
