Violation of an order of protection leads to arrest

GREENE – The New York State Police at Norwich were involved in the arrest of one individual in Greene on Jan. 6, 2015.

Christian C. Passela, 24, of Greene was arrested for criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor; and harassment in the second degree, a violation.

This arrest occurred after troopers were advised of an incident of harassment that occurred on December 30, 2015 in the Town of Greene.

An investigation determined that Passela allegedly had followed the unidentified victim to work and drove erratically near them.

This conduct was in direct violation of a valid order of protection which had been placed against him by the said victim.

Passela is set to appear in the Town of Greene court on Jan. 26, 2016.
