B-G Basketball Wins In Close Finish

BAINBRIDGE - Hosting Franklin on Thursday, December 10, the Bainbridge-Guilford boys’ varsity basketball team won a close game 42-41.

The game was close all the way until the final whistle when B-G would stand as victors by a small margin. The first half ended in a 19-19 tie as the two teams would trade buckets all the way until the end. The Bobcats were led by Sean Jones’ 15 total points. Jones helped keep B-G in the game with six points in the second quarter and five more in the third.

As the fourth quarter began, B-G was down 33-31. The Bobcat defense did what they could to stop Frankiln’s advances and attempted to keep them away from the net. Trevor Halaquist’s 10 points in the fourth quarter came in clutch for B-G. Halaquist’s 10 plus another from Alex DeGrot would be enough to give B-G the narrow victory.

COOPERSTOWN - On Wednesday, December 9, the Sherburne-Earlville boys’ varsity basketball team traveled to Cooperstown and won a close game 60-58.
