S-E Takes Second In Annual Tip-off Tournament

SHERBURNE - This weekend marked another year of the annual Sherburne-Earlville tip-off tournament as teams traveled to Sherburne to compete.

The hosting Marauders would win their first game, but ultimately lose in the championship for a second place finish.

In their first game S-E would host Central Valley Academy and win in a low scoring game 47-31. Sherburne-Earlville was down going into the fourth quarter 23-20 to CVA, but would have 20 point fourth quarter to come back and win.

S-E was led by Gavin Giroux’s 15 points this game as he was clutch from the free throw line, making seven. Matt Hull also came up big for the Marauders, scoring 12 for his team. After winning their first game, S-E moved on to the finals to play VVS high school.
