Happy Halloween, Patrollers! The Toddster has a few DVDS to pass along to you and a few of them are a bit scary in their own way. See if you agree with the Toddster on any of them.

New on DVD

Pixels- Being good at something is always something you want to be. Being an expert at playing video games isn't exactly a bell ringer. It'll have to be because Brenner (Adam Sandler) was always good at it but there comes a time when you have to grow up. Now he'll have to go back to his childhood. It seems aliens have found the Earth and a time capsule was sent out 30 years ago to tell them about us. The only problem is when they read it, video games were a part of it and they were misunderstood as a gesture that we wanted to invade their planet. Brenner has to recruit a top crew of video game players from the past. The aliens are using video game characters like Pac Man and Donkey Kong to use against us. Will Brenner and his team be able to stop them and save the World? You catch Adam Sandler another way by seeing "Hotel Transylvania 2" in theaters now.

Story Continues Below Adverts

The Gift- Being nice to people is something you always want to be. As a kid, it's not an easy thing. Simon (Jason Bateman) and Robyn (Rebecca Hall) had just moved to California and wanted to get a fresh start. While shopping, the couple run into an old classmate of Simon's named Gordon or "Gordo" (Joel Edgerton). Gordo just wanted to renew his friendship with someone from the past. Simon doesn't really remember them being that close. Robyn thinks Gordo is nice and doesn't really think much about it. Over time, with all of Gordo's gestures with him buying them gifts. Simon starts to feel uncomfortable and just wants them all to part ways. Gordo doesn't really take this well and strange things start to happen. Can Robyn and Simon get away from him or is there a deeper darker secret luring in the background? Edgerton can currently be seen with Johnny Depp in "Black Mass" playing in theaters now.

Also on DVD

Max- One big thing getting everyone through life is having friends. Even if they're the four legged kind. Kyle Wincott (Robbie Amell) was a Marine and good at his job. His German Shepherd Max and him worked in Iraq protecting them from bombs and the enemy. A freak accident kills Kyle and now the Marine Corp aren't sure what to do with Max. Kyle's family decide to take Max in and Justin (Josh Wiggins) doesn't know what to make of Max at first. The longer they send together, Justin starts to like Max. He'll need him because Justin gets himself into some trouble with some criminals. Can Max and Justin working as a team find a way out of trouble? Amell can be seen with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson when they star together in the revival of "The X-Files" beginning in January on Fox.

Macgyver- Featuring an old favorite from the past and celebrating its' 30 year Anniversary. The Toddster loves this show and with our 10 year Anniversary approaching we couldn't resist fitting in something a little early. Meet Macgyver (Richard Dean Anderson). He's kind of an old fashioned troubleshooter who goes where the action is and uses whatever is on hand to get himself out of a jam. In the pilot episode, Mac is sent to a top secret installation to find out what caused a massive explosion and to stop an acid leak. Top that with finding a pretty lady along the way who knows a lot, Mac will have his hands full. Can he learn what he needs to before it's too late? CBS has announced that a "Macgyver" reboot is already in the works. Stay tuned on this one.

We told you some of these had some type of jeopardy in them. November starts this weekend and that means 10 years have gone by. The Toddster will have more great memories throughout the month. See you next week.
