SIDNEY - On Monday, October 5, the Norwich boys’ varsity soccer team traveled to Sidney to take on the Warriors. After the final whistle, Norwich came out on top by a score of 3-2.

Throughout the course of the game Norwich’s Pablo Rojas and Luis Diaz accumulated the three goals for the Tornado. Rojas finished the day with two, one on a cross from Gabe Gawronski that turned into a Rojas header which whizzed past the goal keeper and in for the score.

Diaz would finish with one goal but made what may have been one of the most important plays of the game. With time running out in the second half Sidney was down one score with a chance to tie it up. From a corner kick the Warriors sailed a shot dangerously close to the Norwich goal only to be deflected by Diaz. Time would expire and Norwich would go home winners.

Norwich played for the second time this week last night at home on their senior recognition night.
