NORWICH - Last night the Norwich golf team hosted Johnson City in a match that the Purple Tornado would win 204 to 223.

Shooting the low score of the match was Norwich's Ryan Johnson with a 38 on the day. Following close behind Johnson were Brennan Maynard and Nate Scheer who both shot a 40.

For Johnson City the low round went to Tyler Schuba who shot a 42, one ahead of his teammate Dylan Litchers who shot a 43.

Norwich improves to 5-4 on the season and will play again when they travel to Windsor today.

Individual scoring: Johnson City; Tyler Schuba, 42. Dylan Litchers, 43. Josh Potter, 45. Darren Jehelka, 46. Jake Carpenter, 47. Norwich; Ryan Johnson, 38. Brennan Maynard, 40. Nate Scheer, 40. Alex Gage, 41. Connor Nial, 45.

Team scoring: Johnson City; 223. Norwich; 204.

Cross Country

ONEONTA - On Tuesday, September, 22, the Norwich boys’ cross country team traveled to Oneonta to compete in a meet against three other schools. Norwich would place second overall but would take the top individual spot.
