PLYMOUTH - A foggy morning turned into a beautiful day at the Canasawacta Country Club as their 57th annual Member-Guest Tournament got under way. Over 170 golfers made their way onto the greens and fairways as the day began with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

With most golfers shooting well on their opening holes, it was the team of Brain Loomis and Bryan Boyer who took the lead after a slow start. Finishing the day shooting a 66, five under par, and just two strokes of the three teams tied for second place at 68, Loomis and Boyer had an up and down round of play. "We stalled out a little after our first few holes shooting par after par," said Bryan Boyer. "But we started to come back after we made a few birdies."

Loomis and Boyer tee'd off this morning with the first group of golfers at 8 a.m. and started on hole 14. Only bogeying one hole the first round the two golfers took their lead later in the day. "We came back after Brian eagled 10 and birdied 11," Boyer said. "We went from two under to five under real quick."
