MORRISVILLE­ – Morrisville State College will welcome a new class of freshmen, transfer and returning students during Welcome Weekend Aug. 20-23. Classes begin Aug. 24 at both the Morrisville and Norwich campuses.

Student athletes will be among those assisting with moving new students into their residence hall rooms. First-year and transfer students will begin arriving on Aug. 20 (between 8 a.m.-2 p.m.) followed by returning and readmitted students on Aug. 23 (starting at 9 a.m.).

Welcome Weekend is an opportunity for students to become familiar, or reacquaint themselves, with the Morrisville campus and all it has to offer. Activities include check-in for new students, informational sessions, classroom tours, laptop orientations, and AT&T cellular phone distribution.

There will also be various activities throughout the weekend including a Mustang Social for new students to get acquainted, a presentation by a hypnotist, recreational activities and movies.
