Father Winter recognized for 50th anniversary

Father Harry Winter graduated from Norwich High School in the Class of 1955. He has served as professor of theology at Oblate College, Washington, DC and Oblate School of Theology, San Antonio, TX, and guest professor of Religious Studies, D'Youville College, Buffalo, NY. He has pastored parishes in Pearisburg, VA; Union, WV; Fayetteville, NC, and Buffalo, NY. From 1976-79, he served as Associate Director of the Texas Conference of Churches, then the largest group of Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Protestant Churches in the world.

Fr. Winter currently is director of the Oblate Residence in St. Paul, MN, and Coordinator for Mission, Unity and Dialogue for the US Province of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
