NEW BERLIN – The OCO Elites improved to 2-0 on the season scoring five runs in the bottom of the sixth to defeat Utica Post 229 Friday.

With the score tied at 2-2, Paul Van Warner and Nick Stirone scored on a two-out wild pitch to break the tie. Austin Taylor scored the third run when Josh Haines' groundball was misplayed. Haines moved up to second, and Zach Schallert, who previously walked, moved to third. Andrew Radke's two-run single completed the scoring.

Radke led OCO with two hits and three RBI, and Mason Alford added an RBI single. Schallert went the distance for the win.

The Elites scored four runs in the second, and went on to beat Clinton Post 232 in their season-opening game last Thursday.

Dylan Mack picked up the victory pitching a complete-game one-hitter. Mack struck out five and walked four.

A throwing error on a pickoff attempt scored Conor Pope and Schallert for OCO's first runs of the second inning. Haines added an RBI single during the frame, and Haines, John Predmore, and Stirone finished with two hits apiece.
