NORWICH – The third Thanks-4-Giving Co-ed Volleyball Tournament, hosted by the Norwich YMCA earlier this month, was another success directed by Jamie Morris and Volleyball Tournament Coordinators.

The tournament proceeds benefited the Norwich Family YMCA and the Roots and Wings Food Pantry, and a record 20 teams from New York (including seven from Chenango County), Pennsylvania and Ontario, Canada totaling 130 players competed. The Gold Division Champion was "Out-of-the-Woods" from Wellsboro, Pa., defeating "Shankasaurus," 3-0 from Ithaca. "Team Shazam" from Binghamton won the Silver Division vhampionship beating "Set Me," from Tunkhannock, Pa. 2-0.
