Cyclones fall in league finals

SAUQUOIT The Cyclones B team lost in the Tri-Valley League Pop Warner championship game last weekend losing a hard-fought contest to the Utica Bulldogs, 19-12.

The Cyclones contained the swift Bulldogs most of the day with the exception of two long TD runs in the first half of 61 yards and 53 yards.

The Cyclones mounted a three-play passing drive in the second quarter a 35-yard pass play from Carson Maynard to Ayden John-Lorimer, an Elijah Rodriguez pass to Lorimer, and a Maynard TD pass to Ben McGillicuddy, whose eight-yard TD reception made it a 13-6 Utica lead at halftime.
