Bobcats advance in Class C playoffs

Bainbridge-Guilford 3, Walton 1

BAINBRIDGE Bainbridge-Guilford advanced to the second round of the Section IV Class C playoffs scoring three times in the first half in a win over Walton Tuesday.

Trevor Halaquist scored 10 minutes into the game off a Dan Norris pass, Jake Cuozzo tallied nine minutes later, and Norris added his team's third goal with 4 1/2 minutes remaining in the first half.



B-G gave up a penalty kick to Walton's Nate Pieper with 27 minutes remaining.

The Bobcats (16-2) play at Spencer-Van Etten Friday.

BINGHAMTON Seton Catholic Central scored twice late in the first half on its way to a Section IV Class C playoff win over visiting Unadilla Valley Tuesday.

Alex Kashani scored on a breakaway for the Saints after a UV defender slipped to the ground. Kashani added the second goal after a misclear from the Storm's defensive zone.

Liam Karl and Griffen Covert scored in the second half for the Saints. "I thought we played a really good first half, and the first 20 minutes we dominated," said UV coach Ryan Houck. "But we struggled to find the net."
