GREENE - Greene rallied from two deficits to deal Bainbridge-Guilford its first league loss of the season Tuesday night.

Luke Day had his second hat trick in as many games, but his first goal with 37 seconds left in the first half may have been the most important.

After the Trojans' Brian Leone scored with 10:03 left in the opening half to make it a 2-1 B-G lead, Day's tying goal set the stage for a big second half. "No question, that equalizer (by Day) was huge going into halftime," said Greene coach Rick Tallman.

Bainbridge-Guilford's Jake Cuozzo tallied his second goal of the game to move his team on top before Day had the next two tallies. Christian Klecha added an insurance goal for Greene (13-1) late in the game.

"I felt we did a pretty decent job trying to control play on he field, we just weren't taking advantage, and B-G did," Tallman said. "Luckily, we got it going a little better at the end of the first half."

Kyle Hanvey also scored for Bainbridge-Guilford (12-2).

Greene hosts Norwich Thursday.
