SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley's strong second half was not enough to overcome a three-goal halftime deficit to McGraw Monday afternoon.
"We were there to watch the first half, and McGraw took advantage," said OV coach Jacob Preston. "The second half, we decided it was time to play."
Austin Reynolds had two unassisted goals for OV in the first 25 minutes of the second half. With three minutes remaining, an apparent Vikings tying goal was waved off by officials. "This game could have been over in the first half, but my players never gave up and continued to battle,” Preston said.
Saturday against Moravia, OV busted open a 1-0 halftime lead over Moravia when Jason Olin scored a minute into the second half off an assist from Matt Neal, and a few minutes later, Neal scored off an Olin feed.
