B-G Stays Unbeaten In MAC With Win Over Norwich

Bainbridge-Guilford 4, Norwich 1

BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford scored three first-half goals, and remained unbeaten in the Midstate Athletic Conference downing visiting Norwich Saturday morning.

Jake Cuozzo had two goals for the Bobcats (11-1), who jumped out to a 3-1 lead at halftime. Dan Norris and Aidan Nolan also scored for B-G.

Norwich’s Chris Trevisani scored his 17th goal of the season getting an assist from Sean Phelan. Norwich’s record fell to 7-6 overall.

Unadilla Valley 5, Sidney 1

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley evened its record at 6-6 overall defeating Sidney on Friday.

Than Garry scored first for the Storm taking a pass from Dakota Fernette, beating two Sidney defenders, and tucking away his shot into the net 27 minutes into the game. C.J. Hayes headed in a Conor Pope pass with five minutes remaining in the opening half for the two-goal lead.

Brendan Brooker tallied twice in the second half, and Derrick Schwab converted a penalty kick – his first varsity goal for UV.

The Storm play at Norwich Tuesday.
