UV's opening goal came after Barker lofted a pass over the Delhi defense to the speedy Thomsen, who beat the Delhi keeper in a one-on-one situation.

"Barker was really the star for us tonight," said UV coach Ryan Houck. "He played everywhere for us: Up top, some wing, some center half, and some fullback."

Storm newcomer Austin Taylor made a successful foray at keeper making seven saves. "Austin has some huge shoes to fill, and he took some huge steps forward tonight," Houck said.
