NORWICH – The 2014 Greater Norwich Foundation scholarship recipients were photographed at NBT Bank on Monday. Graduates of Norwich High School who are recipients of the Greater Norwich Foundation scholarships are: the Alan Horovitz Sports Person of the Year Award, Michael Sutton attending Syracuse University; the Alan Horovitz All Around Student Award, Jason Handy, attending American University; the Clara Robbins Memorial Scholarship Awards, John Yacano, attending King’s College; Storm Cook attending SUNY Morrisville; Jennifer Borfitz attending Clarkson University; Erin Gawronski attending Brandeis University; the Marcia Stewart Memorial Scholarship, Robert Jeffrey attending LeMoyne College; the Linda Sands Memorial Scholarship, Rachel Zieno, attending Scranton University; the Joseph Rotundo Memorial Scholarship, Matthew Burke, attending Niagara University; the Margaret Forsythe Scholarship, Victoria Estell, attending SUNY Broome; the John & James Westcott Memorial Scholarship, Frances Robles attending Johnson & Wales University; the Harrison & Betty Edwards Science Scholarship, Andrew Biviano, attending Rochester Institute of Technology; the Esther C. Flanagan Scholarship, Tristan Bartlett, attending SUNY Cobleskill; the Thomas H. Ivory Scholarship, Cody Barnes, attending LeMoyne College; GNF Special Scholarship, Tyler Conant attending SUNY Delhi.
In total, $46,250 in scholarships was awarded this year by the Greater Norwich Foundation. In addition to the above scholarships, the Greater Norwich Foundation provided a total of $278,135 to non-profit community organizations in the greater Norwich area during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014.
