PLYMOUTH – Corey Johnson and Eric Walling made one life-long memory a year ago at the Canasawacta Country Club Men's Member-Guest Tournament. They hope to make another together this weekend as it could be the last time they team up as partners.

Johnson and Walling, teenagers a year ago, became the youngest championship duo in the 5 1/2-decade history of the tournament winning by two shots.

Johnson will be a freshman at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. this fall where he will study Golf Management. A summer golf internship in 2015 is part of Johnson's curriculum, so he will be unable to team up next summer with Walling for a third time. "It's looking like this year will be our last time together (in this tournament)," Walling said in a phone interview Tuesday evening. Waling, too, is on track for a degree in Golf Management at SUNY Delhi. After an internship at Seven Oaks in Hamilton last year, he is completing his second internship at the Broadmoor Hotel and Resort in Colorado Springs this summer. "They have three championship courses (at the Broadmoor), so it can only help your game."
