NORWICH – With the tag line “Celebrating the past, and looking to the future,” The City of Norwich Centennial Celebration Committee is currently in the process of soliciting city businesses and individuals to assist in creating an everlasting atmosphere downtown that will remain in memory for another 100 years.

The parade will serve as an opportunity for community members and area businesses to unite in and engender a sense of pride in the city, reflecting on past successes and looking to the promise of a prosperous future.

The themed parade, which will juxtapose businesses of the past with those of the present, will take place in conjunction with a Friday night cruse-in, and classic car owners and enthusiasts are invited to join in on the festivities which – according to organizer and The Norwich Centennial Celebration Committee board member Michael McCormack – is already garnered an impressive list of participants.

“Currently, we are very fortunate to have the committed localized support of 36 organizations in the parade form big community names like UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, Frontier Communications, NBT Bank and Chobani among others,” said McCormack.
