Diner offers reward to find vandal

NORWICH – Nearly two weeks after Bill's Diner in Norwich endured its second instance of vandalism within a month, the restaurant owner is turning to the help of the community for more information.

Bill Arvanitis, owner of the Bill's Diner located at 6082 state Highway 12, is offering a $500 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for vandalism at his business. Arvanitis said the suspect smashed 10 of the diner's front and side windows using a hammer.

According to Arvanitis, the suspect, who was identified as wearing a hooded coat and driving a white van, was caught by the establishment’s newly installed security surveillance system. Surveillance images show the instance happened approximately 12:50 a.m. Saturday, March 1.
