HAMILTON -The Palace Theater in Hamiltion presents "Pinocchio" for a one-time matinee on Sunday, March 2 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 and doors open at 2:30 p.m. After the show, meet the cast for a photo op or autograph.
Imagine Geppetto’s surprise when the puppet he carves from an unusual piece of wood springs to life. The wooden boy, Pinocchio, becomes like a son to the kindly old wood carver. But the mischievous Pinocchio sets off on a series of fantastic adventures. Along the way, he learns valuable lessons that lead him back home and earn him the thing he most desires — to be a real boy.
This production is based on the novel by Cario Collodi, book and lyrics by Bruce Craig Miller, and music by Michael Strong.
The Hamilton Middle School Chorus will delight the audience before the show with a short medley of "Under the Sea" and "A Whole New World." Anna Taube, choral director said the students are excited to perform for the general public.
The Palace is proud to present more live theater for the 2013-2014 season with "Antigone" (March 28-29), "Broadway’s Next Hit Musical" (April 26), and "Chorus of Dreams" (June 7).
