Regional Auditions For Unnecessary Farce At Chenango River Theatre

GREENE – Chenango River Theatre will hold regional auditions on Sunday, March 16 for Unnecessary Farce, a wild comic farce by Paul Slade Smith. Director Craig McDonald (Faculty, Syracuse University) will direct the show and conduct the auditions.

The show rehearses May 12 – 29 (evenings and weekends) and runs May 30 – June 22. More information on the show and roles available is online at www.chenangorivertheatre.org, under the “Auditions” tab.

Roles available are: Eric Sheridan, Male, 30’s; Billie Dwyer, Female, 20’s-early 30’s; Karen Brown, Female, early 30’s; Mayor Meekly, Male, 50’s-60’s; Agent Frank, Male, 20’s-40’s; Mary Meekly, Female, 50’s-60’s.

Equity actors receive $253/wk. Non-Equity actors receive $75 - $150/wk, depending on role. For those interested in pursuing a professional career, CRT is the only theatre in the Binghamton area able to offer Equity Membership Candidacy (EMC) to prospective professional actors.
