Arrests Made In Home Invasion Incident

NORWICH – Four individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion burglary that occurred late last year on Bradley Hill Road in the Town of Oxford.

Corey Clark, 31, Norwich, was arrested on Jan. 19 and charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony; and four counts of unlawful imprisonment in the first degree, a class E felony.

Mark A. Alemar, 35, Guilford, was also arrested on Jan. 19 and is facing one count of first degree burglary and four counts of unlawful imprisonment.

It was confirmed on Friday, Jan. 21, that Clark and Alemar had been arrested in connection with the Dec. 30 Oxford incident, but New York State Police said more arrests were pending with regard to the investigation.

According to Chenango County Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting Jr., Alemar was a former employee at the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, and resigned last summer. Cutting confirmed Alemar was in custody and said the case was in the hands of the New York State Police.
