Danielson arraigned for murder of ex-girlfriend

NORWICH – William H. Danielson, 48, charged with the Dec. 27 murder of his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, was arraigned in Norwich Town Court Monday.

Danielson was initially arraigned last week without representation in Chenango County Court for the class B felonies of attempted murder in the second degree and robbery in the first degree.

He was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail by Judge Frank B. Revoir, Jr.

After the victim, 39-year-old Lucinda Knoll, died from sustained injuries at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City Sunday night, a further charge of the class A-1 felony of murder in the second degree was brought before Danielson.

Lieutenant Richard Cobb and Detective Gary Miller with the Chenango County Sheriff's Office attended the arraignment, along with District Attorney Joseph McBride and First Assistant District Attorney Stephen M. Dunshee.

Danielson, dressed in orange and bearing handcuffs and shackles, was escorted into the courtroom by corrections officers and his appointed attorney, Public Defender Scott. J. Cippinger.
