GENEVA – Hobart College senior forward Richie Bonney was named to the preseason all-America fourth team by D3hoops.com, the premier website for NCAA Division III basketball. Bonney and the Statesmen were picked to repeat as Liberty League Champions in the preseason coaches poll that was released earlier this week.

Bonney, who had a tremendous junior year, is poised for yet another dominant season. He started all 28 games last year, averaging team-highs of 19.5 points (34th in the nation), 8.7 rebounds 1.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game. Bonney was lauded with several honors, including NABC all-East second team, D3hoops.com all-East second team, ECAC Upstate all-Star first team, all-BCANY, and all-Liberty League first team.

Bonney scored a season-high 40 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in a regular season game at Rensselaer. He also was able to drop in 34 points and grab 15 rebounds in the regular season finale against St. Lawrence.
