Kicinski announces second congressional run

NORWICH – Michael Kicinski, a longstanding affiliate of the Tea Party Patriots, announced Wednesday that he will make another run for United States Congress in 2014.

Kicinski, an Earlville resident, formally announced his candidacy from the Tea Party Patriots headquarters on South Broad Street in Norwich. Additional stops included one in the Village of Endwell in Broome County, and another scheduled today in the City of Utica in Oneida County.

Despite losses in the primary and general election in 2012 to incumbent Republican Congressman Richard Hanna, the New York 22 District candidate says he will have an edge in 2014 as more citizens “become aware of the freedoms they’re losing.”

“We are a nation that is currently on the brink of disaster,” said Kicinski in his candidacy announcement. “Seventeen trillion dollars in debt and rising every day, and our government tells us the best way to eradicate these trillions of dollars of debt is to spend more money.”
