NORWICH – Three people were arraigned in Chenango County Court on Friday, including one individual who was indicted on charges of attempted murder.

• Connie Hendrickson of Greene appeared before Chenango County Court Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. on Friday, pleading not guilty to charges of attempted murder, a class B violent felony. In addition, 47-year-old Hendrickson was charged with assault in the first degree, a class C felony; as well as reckless endangerment in the first degree and reckless endangerment in the second degree, both class A misdemeanors.

It is alleged that Hendrickson, on or about Aug. 1 in the Town of McDonough, fired an SKS rifle at another female during a domestic dispute. According to authorities, Hendrickson got into a fight with her ex-boyfriend, Glenn O’Connor, age 45, and Kimberly Haughton, age 28, which led to her shooting six shots at Haughton and her car. Thee bullets hit the car but nobody was injured.

“The alligation is she shot a rifle and the defendant was lucky to have the vehicle stop the bullets before they hit her,” said District Attorney Joseph McBride, further asking County Judge Revoir for an order of protection for both Haughton and O’Connor, and that a “reasonable bail amount be set” for Hendrickson.
