Holland Patent 2, S-E 1

SHERBURNE – Holland Patent put a damper on S-E’s senior recognition night scoring with five minutes left to prevail Tuesday evening.

Mason Hurkle trapped a shot off his chest, then turned a fired a shot into the lower right corner for the winner.

S-E took a one-goal lead 15 minutes in when Skyler Gold powered his way up the field and took a shot, the rebound went to Nathan Piazza who put the ball away. Nicholas Finn tied the game for Holland Patent just before halftime.

The Marauders (8-4, 10-6) are idle until sectional play next week.

McGraw 3, Otselic Valley 0

MCGRAW – McGraw's Jordan Cowen capitalized on an OV defensive miscue scoring three minutes into the game in a shutout win for McGraw Monday.

Cowen added an insurance goal 26 minutes into the second half to create a three-goal bulge. "We were not quite ready to play, and McGraw made it count," said OV coach Jake Preston. "At this point, we're not doing the little things right, and that leads to big problems against good teams."
