Sherburne-Earlville 5, Utica Notre Dame 1

UTICA – Sherburne-Earlville’s Kevin Vibbard matched a school record with five goals in the Marauders win over Utica Notre Dame Saturday.

Vibbard tied the record set by Matt Lake in 2000 scoring three times in the first half and twice in the second half. The scoring opportunities arose when S-E head coach Mike Rodriguez moved scoring threat Elijah Morris back and Vibbard forward. That allowed the S-E offense to push to the outside. “The adjustment went well for us as Kevin was able to get free on the outside,” Rodriguez said.

The Marauders host Holland Patent Tuesday.
