Fourth Friday featuring guest artist Kathleen Moser

NORWICH – Made In Chenango is pleased to host guest artist Kathleen Moser during the “Fourth Friday” art celebration, Sept. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Norwich. Meet her in person at the cooperatively-owned gift shop and gallery on North Broad Street (next to Garf's), and enjoy her exhibit of framed photographs as well as books of images she’s taken in and around Oxford.

Kathleen is an Oxford Academy alum and former owner of the Clachan Coffee House. Kathleen was a photography student and follower of the late Monte Zucker who was an authority on posing, lighting, composition and other aspects of classical photography. Of her picturesque landscapes and captivating portraits, the artist explained, "My goal is to capture the spirit of a person, place and thing because all are beautiful." Examples of the essay style of photography Kathleen offers are found in a series of photo books that tell visual stories. Sidewalks I have Known (taken on a walk through Oxford’s historic East Side); Bark and Light (a study of texture and light) and From the Ground Up. A fourth book showcases the historic Ella Moore House in Norwich. For more on her work and information about commission opportunities, visit her website at www.mykatesparrow.com.
