NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley completed its Sept. 12 game with Oxford that was suspended by lightning Thursday afternoon.

Leading 1-0 when play was halted late in the first half, the week off did not slow UV's momentum in picking up its third shutout victory of the year.

Jared Hanslmaier scored off a cornerkick from Connor Pope shortly after the restart for the two-goal halftime advantage, and senior Mason Alford scored his first varsity goal getting an assist from Brendan Brooker. Brooker hooked up with David Schwab for the lone goal last week before inclement weather took over.

Storm goalie Kyle King had seven saves.
