Greene 11, Oxford 0
GREENE – Four Greene players scored at least two goals in a rout of Oxford Tuesday.
It was the first varsity game for the Blackhawks in two years, and Greene coach Rick Tallman was not happy with how far the score got out of hand. I was happy, though, with the great combination passing of midfielders Karl Zaengle and Kurt Bartholomew. The veteran duo combined for five goals and six assists. Luke Day and Kevin Halsteter also had two tallies in the game.
“It was very fluid play between Kurt and Karl, and Cameron (Race) was very solid today on the defensive end,” Tallman said.
Greene hosts UV Thursday.

G-MU 1, Franklin 1 (OT)
COPES CORNERS – Late pressure in the Franklin defensive zone yielded the tying goal for G-MU, who played to a tie with the Purple Devils Tuesday afternoon.
Brandon Lindenthaler scored unassisted for the Raiders with 44 seconds left. After a scoreless tie, Franklin netted the go-ahead goal when Derek Beers connected on a penalty kick. “I didn’t see what exactly happened to give them the penalty kick,” said G-MU coach Steve Antczak. “We caught fire at the end of the game to score, and we nearly scored again in overtime. Considering last year’s record, this was a very good start for us.”
G-MU hosts Morris Friday.
