Chenango River Theatre presents “Fully Committed”

GREENE – The second performance of the 2013 season at the Chenango River Theatre, “Fully Committed,” is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday at its 991 State Highway 12 location in Greene. The show will then run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. – and Sundays at 2 p.m. – through July 21.

Imagine a reservation clerk at the hottest five-star restaurant in New York, then imagine all the people he comes in contact with who make his job seemingly impossible. The Hollywood producers, foreign dignitaries, local personalities, mafia figures, little old ladies, supermodels ... they will stop at nothing to book a table. The reservation clerk already has to deal with his high strung maitre d’ and self-centered chef.

The unnamed, yet highly acclaimed restaurant on the Upper East Side in “Fully Committed” books months-in-advance, but that does not mean everything is guaranteed to run smoothly. Supermodel Naomi Campbell wasn’t happy with the lighting the last time she was at the restaurant; Bunny Vandervere needs a last minute reservation - but she is flexible - any time between 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m would be ideal; and Tim Zagat’s reservation is lost so he must wait in the lounge.

There are 40 characters appearing in this comedy written by Becky Mode and directed by Brendan Burke. One actor, Wayne Pyle, brings all 40 characters to life on stage singlehandedly.
