Triple Auction to benefit McDonough’s Union Cemetery

McDONOUGH – The second annual Triple Auction to benefit the Village of McDonough Union Cemetery maintenance fund will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McDonough Town Hall.

Hosted by the McDonough Women’s Club, the event pulled in $1,200 last year, which was used to enrich the Union Cemetery’s trust fund. This year, it was determined that the cemetery’s maintenance fund was in dire need of support.

The doors will open for the auction at 6 p.m. to receive items for the white elephant auction and the silent auction. People are invited to bring in usable goods to donate for both auctions. A big part of the auction is the baked goods and the group has been known to sell pies for $25 to $30 at the regular auctions.
